| Our
Mission: to enrich the lives of our youth
by providing an arena for the game of basketball
in a positive and rewarding environment of excellence.
Vision Sports is a company that focuses on the
game of basketball for amateur athletes, from
kindergarten through the high school and college
years. Over twenty years ago, we formed our first
basketball league in the Houston community. This
league has now grown to be one of the largest
programs in the country, consisting of multiple
leagues with more than 2,000 boys and girls participating
year round.
Vision Sports is also a leader in the production
of summer basketball camps for youth. We have
run camps for many of the top NBA athletes and
currently produce summer camps for various corporations.
These camps are designed to teach our youth the
game of basketball by utilizing and learning proper
fundamentals. We are now expanding these camps
throughout many of the country’s southern
states.
Our staff of more than 100 people has built a
reputation for managing and producing the premier
amateur basketball tournaments in the country
for both young and elite boys and girls travel
teams from throughout the US and around the world.
The Vision Sports 12th Annual Houston Kingwood
Classic drew more than 600 teams from 37 states,
Canada, and the Bahamas in April 2006. The 2007
event will be the largest weekend basketball tournament
in the country. Our fifth annual Academy National
Invitational, presented by Nike, was held in Houston
in December 2005 and drew over 12,000 fans in
three days. It is now the premier high school
basketball tournament in the country. Oak Hill
Academy won the 2005 event on their way to being
the country’s #1 ranked high school basketball
team. In addition, Vision Sports has expanded
into Las Vegas and produces the Las Vegas Easter
Classic, the Las Vegas Spring Showcase, The Main
Event Las Vegas, and the National Youth Basketball
Championships, which combined drew over 1200 teams,
15,000 athletes, and over 25,000 visitors to the
fast growing city of Las Vegas this past year.
Vision Sports has also helped the nationally
renowned Houston Hoops basketball program reach
the highest level of competition and reputation
in amateur basketball. The Hoops winners of the
1999 Nike National Basketball Championship and
the 2000 Global Basketball Games have produced
more than 200 young athletes, who have gone on
to earn major Division 1 basketball scholarships
over the past 20 years. Some of the Hoops
alumni include Rashard Lewis (Seattle Supersonics),
Emeka Okafor (Charlotte Bobcats), Stephen Jackson
(Indiana Pacers), Jake Voskuhl (Charlotte Bobcats),
Desmond Mason (New Orleans Hornets), David Boston
(Miami Dolphins), Robert Ferguson (Green Bay Packers),
Marcus Spears (Dallas Cowboys), and Kendrick Perkins
(Boston Celtics).
Vision Sports looks to the future with great
excitement and continued growth. We are dedicated
to exceeding our sponsors' and customers' expectations,
while always striving for excellence in working
with our youth.
